Due to unforeseen circumstances and in light of the thunderstorms forecast for this afternoon, Loch Low-Minn will be closing at 2pm today. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to seeing a large turnout next weekend. Have a great week and see you soon!
Despite the gloomy forecasts, the weather this weekend has proven to be quite pleasant. Because of this and some renewed interest, we've decided to remain open for Memorial Day tomorrow, May 28th, from 10am to 4pm. Make the most of your day off and come diving at Loch Low-Minn. The paddlefish are waiting!
Happy Memorial Day weekend! We look forward to seeing you during regular business hours this Saturday and Sunday. As always, you can find our latest water temperature data on our website. We plan to be closed on Monday due to a forecast of scattered thunderstorms and lack of reservations, but if any groups wish to brave the elements, please contact us by 8pm on Sunday to make arrangements. We look forward to seeing you!
Happy upcoming Mother's Day from Loch Low-Minn! In honor of the ladies that raised us, we're offering $5 off admission for all ladies that visit the resort on Sunday, May 13th. Bring your mom or other important mother figure in your life and make a day of it! The weather is amazing and the paddlefish are waiting. See you soon!
Don't forget, Loch Low-Minn officially opens for the 2018 open water diving season this Saturday, May 5th, at 9am! We will be open every weekend this summer, 9am to 6pm. The surface temperature is currently steady at 63F, dropping to 50F at the lowest depths, with a fantastic visibility of 50'+. Come enjoy the lovely spring weather at the loch and get back into the fun of scuba diving!
For all the brave divers who are not frightened by April snow, we officially announce the 2018 season opening on Saturday, May 5th. We hope the weather will come to its senses in the next three weeks, and the water will warm up enough for a pleasant start to open water diving. We will keep our temperature information continually updated on our website and give a warm welcome to all on opening weekend. We hope to see you there!
Folks, your response to our shark fundraiser has been incredible! We have already hit the halfway point, and there are still 22 days to go. Please don't give up now! As we're negotiating down the price of the new fireglass shark, every little bit that you can contribute will help us reach our goal in time. Remember, if there is anything left over, it will be used entirely for transportation costs and repairing Sharky, so please donate what you can and share this link with your friends. Once again, thank you for your support!!!
As many of our visitors know, we here at Loch Low-Minn are constantly striving to improve and expand our amenities and underwater attractions. We just learned of a rare opportunity to make a much-needed improvement, but we need your help!
There is currently a 14ft fiberglass shark for sale on Facebook Marketplace, and our current one, Sharky, is a bit worse for wear. We are trying to negotiate a good price with the seller and hoping that we can raise the necessary funds to purchase it before someone else does. This new shark will give us the opportunity to temporarily replace Sharky so that he can get some much needed repairs on the surface and eventually rejoin his new mate below the waves.
It is not a high priority item, but we think it would be a fun addition and improve the experience of our guests, especially in regards to your underwater photos. To that end, we have started a fundraiser to get enough funds to purchase and transport this new shark to the loch. Any donation that you can provide will be much appreciated, and the top donators will also be able to choose the name of the new shark or vote for it in case of a tie (keep it clean, folks). If we do not get enough funds in time to purchase the new shark, all proceeds will go toward repairing Sharky and improving the rest of the resort.
If you are not able to donate, we understand, but we would appreciate your spreading the word to your friends and like-minded colleagues. As always, thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you when the weather warms up and the diving season resumes.
